Other People’s Lives
A fully improvised feature film, written and directed by Mark Rotondo of Dropout Pictures. The story follows a group of five friends as they meet at a beach house for their annual weekend getaway together. The content and relationships of the film were entirely improvised, on the spot, by the actors. Little was discussed between characters before jumping into the scene, which lead to some incredibly real and authentic discoveries. The filming process featured long takes and very little editing. All we, as the actors, were given before we began filming was a basic storyline – which ending up changing and developing as the story progressed.
It was truly a unique experience and I fully embraced the opportunity to be real and “in the moment”. I also was lucky to work with some incredibly talented and creative people that were willing to take the leap.
